THE OKLAHOMA DISCTRICT
Dear Subscribers,
In a world marked by constant change and shifting values, there is an enduring need for spiritual sanctuaries that remain unwavering in their commitment to Apostolic Pentecostal principles. Today, we dive deep into the heartland of the United States, Oklahoma, to explore the vital role of Apostolic churches and their growth potential across cities, towns, and counties in this great state.
Oklahoma: A Land of Opportunity for Apostolic Churches
Oklahoma, often referred to as the "Sooner State," boasts a diverse and thriving population spread across its cities, towns, suburbs, and counties. As we delve into the numbers, we find that Oklahoma is home to a fascinating tapestry of communities that are yearning for the presence of Apostolic Pentecostal churches.
Population Statistics in Oklahoma
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Oklahoma had a population of approximately 4 million people. However, it's essential to note that these numbers are subject to change over time. To gain a deeper understanding of the population distribution, let's explore some key regions within the state:
Oklahoma City: The capital and largest city in Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, has a population exceeding 650,000 residents. When we consider the suburbs and surrounding areas, this number significantly increases. The suburbs of Oklahoma City, including Edmond, Norman, and Moore, add a substantial population to the equation.
Tulsa: Tulsa, the second-largest city in the state, is home to over 400,000 people. Similar to Oklahoma City, the suburbs around Tulsa, such as Broken Arrow and Owasso, contribute to a larger population that seeks spiritual guidance and Apostolic Pentecostal teachings.
Towns and Counties: Oklahoma comprises 77 counties, each with its unique population. Towns, rural areas, and smaller communities throughout the state are filled with individuals and families seeking a spiritual connection that Apostolic churches can provide.
The Apostolic Pentecostal Message
Apostolic Pentecostal churches hold fast to the foundational teachings of the Apostles and the early church. Their emphasis on a holistic spiritual experience, including the oneness of God, salvation through Jesus Christ, water baptism in Jesus’ name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues, resonates deeply with many seeking a more profound connection with their faith. We bring the true Gospel message to the unsaved community and there are many people throughout Oklahoma who need to hear this message. Will you heed the call and allow the burden for souls to take you to the field of harvest to start a Bible study, church plant, Daughter work, etc?
The Call for Apostolic Churches
As we contemplate the population statistics, including the suburbs of Oklahoma City and Tulsa, and the spiritual needs of Oklahoma, it becomes evident that there is a significant need for Apostolic Pentecostal churches to expand their presence across the state. The message of salvation and spiritual transformation that these churches offer can touch the hearts and souls of countless individuals and families.
Conclusion
In a world that often seems adrift, Apostolic Pentecostal churches stand as beacons of unwavering faith and timeless truth. Oklahoma, with its diverse population, encompassing not only cities but also suburbs and counties, presents an extraordinary opportunity for the growth of Apostolic churches. As we reflect on these statistics and the spiritual landscape of this great state, let us consider the call to bring the Apostolic message to those who hunger for a deeper connection with God.
Thank you for being a part of this newsletter journey, and may we all be inspired to support and nurture the growth of Apostolic churches across Oklahoma and beyond.
In Faith and Unity,
